Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Marlon Lawrence unalived Billy BJ Brightmon.
A Dallas tire shop employee allegedly shot and killed the manager of the shop as the manager worked behind the shops counter this week, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
Marlon Lawrence, 21, a tire technician at Rent A Tire RAW Wheels and Tires in the 4000 block of Camp Wisdom Road in southern Dallas, allegedly shot Billy Brightman, 42, in the back shortly after 1 p.m. Dec. 1 as Brightman worked behind the counter, according to the affidavit.
Lawrence then shot Brightman again in the face and an employee called 911 after hearing the gunshots, the affidavit states.
For him to do him like that, why? Young man, why, said Cynthia Willis, Brightmans mother.
Lawrence admitted to shooting Brightman in an interview with police and said he then put the handgun in his parked vehicle, according to the affidavit.
Lawrence was booked into the Dallas County Jail Dec. 1 on a murder charge, according to jail records.
Willis said she and Brightman had just spent Thanksgiving together before the shooting.
