Body Found Wrapped Inside Bag In Tesla After It Was Impounded

Hollywood, California

A decomposing body wrapped in plastic has been found in a car that belongs to singer D4vd.

A putrid smell led police to the abandoned Tesla in a impound lot on Monday afternoon.

The body was found stuffed in a bag in the vehicle’s front trunk after it had sat in the parking lot in Hollywood for nearly a week, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

It’s unclear how long victim had been dead. Their identity hasn’t been released.

The car was brought to the yard after it was reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills 5 days earlier, LAPD said.

Employees at Hollywood Tow called police after they noticed the strong smell coming from the car. When officers arrived just before 12:30pm, they found the body wrapped in a plastic bag in the car’s trunk.

Police are treating the case as a death investigation. The car was towed off the lot on Monday.

Investigators found the vehicle is registered to singer David Anthony Burke, 20, also known as “D4vd,” KABC reported. The 2023 Tesla is registered in Hempstead, Texas and has Texas license plates.

The singer is best known for his songs Here with Me and Romantic Homicide. He is currently on a world tour.

D4vd has yet to comment on the discovery. He was born in New York City but raised near Houston and currently lives in Los Angeles.
